Duty, Honor, Country are three of the most precious words in our language. Sadly, these words are often accompanied by the word death. The very people who step forward and risk everything, including and especially their own lives, should be the survivors. They should not be the people who perish.
They were, and are, and always will be, our true leaders. They were, and are, and always will be, the people we need to preserve that which we hold sacred. Once gone, all we can do is honor their memory, remember what they sacrificed, and emulate what they did during their all too brief time among us.
