The first time we met to discuss the details of the Military Salute Project, it took about 30 seconds for the subject of donations to arise. We unanimously agreed that we would NOT accept one penny from anyone. We do not solicit, nor do we accept, ANY donations.
The Military Salute Project is NOT a registered non-profit organization, nor do we have any intention of becoming a non-profit organization. All expenses are shared equally by the five founding members (also known as The Minnesota Platoon). We do not deduct any project expenses from our respective State or Federal income taxes.
The Military Salute Project does not receive any of the proceeds from the sales of either of the videos we produced. Your Story Video has our permission to sell the Military Salute and Welcome Home videos because they donated significant resources and technical expertise to convert both videos into DVD format.
